About This Data Center
T4 Group Southern Data Centre, is being built due to its abundant renewable energy resources, particularly hydroelectric power. T4 Groups Southern Data Centre sources its electricity from 100% renewable sources from hydro and solar power, which will significantly reduce carbon emissions and reliance on fossil fuels.
Southland's temperate climate offers opportunities for utilising natural cooling methods, such as outside air-cooling to help regulate the temperature within the Data Centre without the need for energy-intensive cooling systems.
Given Southland's clean water resources, water conservation measures will be implemented, such as using water-efficient cooling systems and implementing rainwater harvesting and recycling systems.
Specifically, the following standards apply to Southern facility:
• Targeted Building green star rating of 4 stars
• Maximum annual average Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) rating of 1.2.
