Rostelecom Ekaterinburg-1 is a newly launched 2MW data center located in Yekaterinburg, Russia, strategically positioned within the Ural federal district to address regional digital infrastructure demands. Initially equipped with 216 racks in April 2023, the facility is set to expand with an additional 216 racks by 2024, reaching a total capacity of 432 racks. This expansion supports Rostelecom's broader strategy to decentralize data center resources, which have historically been concentrated in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and reduce regional digital disparities.
