Person County Mega Park

Microsoft has acquired a substantial 1,385-acre site in Person County, North Carolina, known as the Person County Mega Park. This strategic acquisition, costing $26.85 million, is aimed at bolstering Microsoft's infrastructure for cloud computing and artificial intelligence. The site, located in Woodsdale Township near the Virginia border, is equipped with 230kV electric transmission lines and is served by Duke Energy and Piedmont Electric. While Microsoft has not yet finalized specific project plans, capital investment, or the number of employees, the acquisition is expected to significantly impact the local economy through job creation and enhanced housing opportunities.
