Microsoft has acquired additional land in Heath, Ohio, as part of its ambitious plan to expand its data center infrastructure in the region. The newly acquired land, located west of Thornwood Drive and south of Hallie Lane, spans approximately 219 acres. This acquisition is part of a broader strategy to develop multiple data center campuses in Licking County, including sites in New Albany and Hebron. The Heath campus is expected to feature a five-building data center complex, with construction likely to begin in summer 2025 and the first building anticipated to be completed by early 2028. This development underscores Microsoft's commitment to enhancing its cloud infrastructure to support the growing demand for digital services and to contribute to the local economy by creating jobs and investing in community programs.
