Microsoft is set to build two new data centers near Cologne, Germany, as part of a significant investment program aimed at doubling its AI infrastructure and cloud computing capacity in the country. These facilities will be located in Bergheim and Bedburg, two towns in the Rhein-Erft district, west of Cologne. The Bergheim data center will be situated on a 20-hectare site at the INKA: terra nova industrial park, while the Bedburg facility will occupy an 18-hectare site at the new BEB61 industrial estate.
