SHERB-1 transforms a historic industrial boiler room into a high-efficiency, heat-reuse data center delivering energy to a 350-unit residential complex, a church campus, and sections of a major university. The project includes 5 MW of compute power and 7,000 ft² of available IT space, implemented as a retrofit for rapid deployment. Heat-loop integration enhances decarbonization in the surrounding district. With multiple carrier options and a 6-month delivery timeline, SHERB-1 provides a compact yet impactful location for sustainable AI infrastructure.
FirstBlock builds data center campuses around a simple idea: the best digital infrastructure begins with the best energy. Originating in Québec, we developed deep expertise in identifying clean, low-cost power markets and transforming them into high-performance environments for cloud, AI, and HPC operators. Today, we apply that expertise across Canada, selecting regions with stable, low-carbon power and shaping them into liquid-ready, high-density sites optimized for next-generation workloads.
Our campuses turn energy advantages into operational benefits. Advanced hydrocooling and large-scale heat-reuse systems drive consistently low PUE, improving efficiency while reducing environmental impact. Each location is prepared for rapid deployment with permitting, utility alignment, and engineering groundwork already completed, giving tenants a predictable and accelerated path to scale.
By combining energy intelligence, sustainable engineering, and a commitment to long-term cost competitiveness, FirstBlock offers operators a reliable, efficient infrastructure platform built for growth.
