About This Data Center
The MC1 Equinix International Business Exchange (IBX) data centre creates a regional interconnection hub with ultra-low latencies between global business markets. This facility is a joint venture with Omantel, but fully operated by Equinix. It includes 23,600+ square feet of colocation space with a capacity for 725 cabinets, upgradable to 2,150 cabinets. Omantel operates multiple cable landing stations, and the Equinix MC1 site is also a cable landing station for Oman Australia Cable and has termination to AAE-1.
