Ascenty’s site in Fortaleza is near the city’s industrial district. An important Brazilian state, Ceará is the third largest state economy in the Northeast region. The state accounts for 14.5% of the Northeast region’s GDP. Between 1950 and 2010, Ceará attracted more than 600 domestic and foreign companies. The stat’s highly diverse and expanding industrial sector is largely concentrated in the Fortaleza Metro Area. To meet the growing needs of the city and the state, Ascenty built a robust data center that is located next to one of the area’s largest industrial districts.
